This will be my final post aimed at sales in a specific price range. Today I’m highlighting 5 lovely homes that sold for over $1,000,000 last week. As I scroll through these properties, I’m reminded why Northern Nevada has become such a popular destination for wealthy, out-of-town buyers. Perhaps you’ll leave with the same impression.
Reno / Caughlin Ranch
List Price $1,100,000 / Sold Price $1,075,000
3355 Sierra Crest

This home consists of 4,525 SF, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a 3 Car Garage. Built in 1997 it features an enduring walk-out design with all the main living areas on the ground floor. The home is in very good condition and comes with a long list of custom features. The big views to the west are a mixed blessing considering the exposure to wind and sun. It was on the market for 55 days.
Reno / Southwest
List Price $1,095,000 / Sold Price $1,095,000
3180 Vista Citt’a

This very modern home consists of 3539 SF, 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and 3 car garage. It was built in 2012 and located in the newer gated community of “Villagio”. Perched at the top of Ridgeview Drive the neighborhood itself is maturing quite nicely. This home has a particularly thoughtful design and offers nice southern valley views. The home was on the market for 33 days.
Reno / Old South Suburban
List Price $1,249,000 / Sold Price $1,250,000
2200 Del Monte

This home consists of 3,772 SF, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 3 car garage and it was built in 1955. If I had the time (and the money) this is where I’d live. The lot is just over two acres with surface water rights which supports the pond and pastures. This is an old school country setting amazingly close to town. Oh! The house is pretty cool too. It likely attracted multiple offers at 29 total days on the market.
Reno / Saddlehorn
List Price $1,600,000 / Sold Price $1,582,000
14305 Quail Ravine

This home consists of 4891 SF, 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, 4 car garage. Built in 2006, this is a very attractive property both inside and out. At just under one acre, the lot is big and nicely landscaped. It’s a very contemporary floor plan with generous square footage and the high-end fixtures are in great condition. This home was on the market for 54 days.
Reno / Montreux
List Price $3,799,000 / Sold Price $3,575,000
6440 Dubrou

This home consists of 7651 SF, 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and a 4 car garage. Well, we finally reached an entry level home in Montreux. That’s an exaggeration of course, but surprisingly, it’s likely that this is a second home for both buyer and seller. Built in 2000 and overlooking the 18th fairway in Reno’s premiere community, this home defines the word “luxury” in our area. It was on the market for 69 days.
Keep in mind that the market times I’ve posted include days in escrow. With just a little over six months of active inventory now, I think it’s safe to say that it’s a great time to sell a luxury home in the Reno area. Particularly so if the property is in good condition and equipped with modern fixtures. Thank you to those who followed this series, I hope you’ve enjoyed it.
